FINANCE OFFICE ROLE
The Finance Department is responsible for the proper collection and disbursement of all Town funds; for providing financial advice to the Town Supervisor and Town Board; and assisting and supporting in the following areas: cash and debt management, procurement of goods and services, operating and capital budgets, and accounting and reporting of financial information.

HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICE ROLE
The Human Resources Department is generally responsible for all employee personnel activities. The duties and responsibilities of the Human Resources Department are as follows:
- Labor Relations
- Benefits: All employee benefits are administered in the Human Resources Department, including health insurance, retirement, workers’ compensation and disability, life insurance, unemployment insurance, deferred compensation, credit union, and cafeteria/flexible benefits program.
- Wage and Salary Administration: The Human Resource Department is responsible for the development and maintenance of all of the Town’s wage and salary programs (union, non bargaining unit, seasonal, and part-time).
- Other Responsibilities: Other areas of responsibilities include the development, administration, and enforcement of all personnel policies (ex: workplace violence, drug and alcohol testing, time and attendance).
CURRENT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
TOWN OF CLAYTON EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
The Town of Clayton is accepting applications for employment for a full-time experienced Motor Equipment Operator (MEO) at the Town of Clayton Highway Department. The successful applicant will be required to hold a current CDL A, however a current CDL B may be considered with a minimum of 5 years motor equipment operator experience. Experience operating snow removal equipment is also a plus. Applicant must live in close proximity to the Highway Barn. MEO will be expected to work some evening and weekend shifts during winter. Summer shifts will run four days a week, Monday through Thursday. Position starts at $23.31 and will increase $.50/hour every 6 months for the first two years, in addition to other contractual increases. Excellent health insurance, NYS Retirement and other benefits included. Successful applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test.
