The Town of Clayton is accepting applications for employment for a full-time experienced Motor Equipment Operator (MEO) at the Town of Clayton Highway Department.  The successful applicant will be required to hold a current CDL A, however a current CDL B may be considered with a minimum of 5 years motor equipment operator experience.  Experience operating snow removal equipment is also a plus. Applicant must live in close proximity to the Highway Barn. MEO will be expected to work some evening and weekend shifts during winter.  Summer shifts will run four days a week, Monday through Thursday.  Position starts at $27.81 and will increase $.50/hour every 6 months for the first two years, in addition to other contractual increases.  Excellent health insurance, NYS Retirement NY Deferred Compensation and other benefits included. Successful applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test.
