The Town of Clayton is accepting applications for employment for a full time Motor Equipment Operator (MEO) at the Town of Clayton Highway Department.  The successful applicant will be required to hold a current CDL B, however a current CDL A is preferred.  Mechanical experience, as well as experience operating snow removal equipment, is also a plus. Applicant must live in close proximity to the Highway Barn. MEO will be expected to work some evening and weekend shifts during winter.  Summer shifts will run four days a week, Monday through Thursday.  Position starts at $22.06 and will increase $.50/hour every 6 months for the first two years, in addition to other contractual increases.  Excellent health insurance, NYS Retirement and other benefits included.  Applications are available online at www.townofclaytonny.gov/hr or at the Town Clerk Office, 405 Riverside Drive, Clayton, NY 13624, Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.  Completed applications must be returned by Monday, February 13, 2023 at 2:00pm to the Town Clerk Office or the Town Highway Dept., East Line Rd., Clayton, New York or via email to support@townofclayton.com.
