On July 24, 2024, the Town Board of the Town of Clayton passed a Bond Resolution authorizing the issuance of Serial Bonds or a Statutory Installment Bond in an amount not to exceed $3,500,000.00, the proceeds of which are to be used for the construction of a new sewage collection system to service the NYS Route 12 Sewer West District. The period of probable usefulness for such project pursuant to subdivision (a) (4) of Section 11.00 of the Local Finance Law is forty (40) years, but will be paid back in excess of five (5) years or less. A full text of the resolution is available for inspection at the Town of Clayton offices, 405 Riverside Drive, Clayton, New York, 13624, during normal business hours.

The validity of the obligations authorized by such resolution may be hereafter contested only if such obligations were authorized for an object or purpose for which the Town of Clayton is not authorized to expend money or if the provisions of law, which should have been complied with as of the date of publishment of this notice were not substantially complied with, and an action, suit, or proceeding contesting such validity is commenced within twenty days of the date of publication of this notice, or such obligations were authorized in violation of the provisions of the Constitution.
