Annual Training Overview
ALL EMPLOYEES (paid and unpaid) at the Town of Clayton are required by NYS to annually receive training on the following topics:
● Workplace Violence Prevention
● Sexual Harassment Prevention
Additionally, the Town requires ALL EMPLOYEES (paid and unpaid) to receive annual training on the following topics:
● Bloodborne Pathogens
● Fire Safety
All BUILDINGS & GROUNDS DEPARTMENT and HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT employees are required to receive annual training on the following topics:
● Hazard Communications/Right to Know
● Lockout/Tagout
● Accident Investigation
● Personal Protective Equipment
● Hearing Conservation
● Respirator Safety
● Ladder Safety
● Fall Protection
● Scaffolding
● Chainsaw Safety
All BUILDINGS & GROUNDS DEPARTMENT employees that work at the Transfer Site must complete safety training related to electronics recycling (e-Waste). All HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT employees are required to complete the following annual training:
● Confined Space Safety
● Welding Safety
New York State requires all PLANNING & ZONING BOARD MEMBERS to complete a minimum of four (4) hours of planning/zoning related training per year.
All ADMINISTRATIVE EMPLOYEES are required to complete Information and Cyber Security training.
All ELECTED AND APPOINTED OFFICIALS are required to annual receive training in Municipal Ethics.
